Synopsis

The documentary "Encrypted Memory Under the Skin" addresses a family myth that begins to become reality after a DNA test and genealogical research. Since she was a child, the director Julia has heard from her cousins the story of a black ancestor in the family, but no one has ever been able to say who this person was, when she lived, or what degree of kinship she was.
